We are seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented individual to join our team at Prime Tools, a specialty store dedicated to power tools and equipment. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys engaging with customers and has a passion for tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service by greeting customers, assisting them in finding the right tools for their projects, and offering knowledgeable advice.
- Sales: Drive sales through product knowledge, suggesting add-ons or complementary products, and helping customers make informed purchasing decisions.
- Product Display: Maintain an orderly and visually appealing store layout, ensuring tools are displayed attractively and informatively.
- Inventory Management: Help manage stock levels, check inventory, and restock shelves as necessary.
- Safety: Ensure all tools are demonstrated and used safely, educating customers on proper tool use and safety protocols.
- Light Maintenance: Perform minor assembly or testing of equipment to showcase functionality to customers.
Qualifications:
- Previous retail or sales experience preferred but not required.
- Tool Knowledge: Applicants with prior knowledge of power tools or a background in construction, mechanics, or a related field will be at a significant advantage.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Basic computer skills for POS systems and inventory management.
Additional Information:
- This is a part-time position with flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Training will be provided for all aspects of the job, though a passion for or familiarity with tools will expedite your integration into our team.
